As the first semester of the 25-26 school year drew to a close in January, the LHS Senior Class celebrated their next to last semester of high school. In addition, they also celebrated some hard work regarding school spirit. During the first semester, the Class of 2026 seniors demonstrated awesome school spirit, contributing donations to the school food drives, winning challenges at assemblies and keeping up good attendance. They ended up with more than 5000 points to handily beat the freshman, sophomore and junior classes to earn a reward.
On January 28th, they received their reward. The seniors gathered in the LHS Auditorium for an afternoon movie during the last half of the school day. They were treated to popcorn, drinks and candy while they watched Monsters University.
Senior Kyler Petersen said “as far as I could tell, people really liked it. I had fun.” He said the seniors are starting out strong with the first assembly in January, winning 1500 points, so it will be hard to beat them again this semester.
What does Petersen like about his Class of 2026 classmates? “We’re a really reliable class. When there is something that needs to be done or if you need help, they always have someone you know you can go to,” he said.
Keep up the good work, Seniors!
