It’s National Thank You Month! Thank You Month is an opportunity to spread kindness by thanking all the people who’ve helped us along the way.
To kick off Thank You Month, we want to thank you for your dedication. Every day, you encourage your student to learn and grow. You are a major reason for the success of our students, and it’s an honor to serve your family.

PUBLIC NOTICE – SAFETY CONCERN
Today, January 5, 2024, The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported that a slender, dark skinned male in a 2018 brown Chevy Equinox with New York plates pulled up next to students during the high school lunch period and asked them to get in his vehicle. Law enforcement responded to the scene and resolved the situation directly with the individual. LHS administrators were notified and additional law enforcement patrols were requested and will be patrolling the area and on site. Please visit with your student(s) about the potential danger of getting into vehicles with people they do not know.
For additional information on how to talk with your student about the potential dangers you may access this resource.

Good afternoon LHS Senior parents! Big news... The FAFSA is finally open and applications can be filled out online at studentaid.gov/fafsa. There may be a wait or delay due to high volume so be prepared for that. For those FFA students, check out the scholarship opportunities available on our website. These will close mid January! Be watching the scholarships page on the school website as more and more local scholarships will be available as we approach spring time. Any and all questions are welcomed in the Career Center. Have a great day!
LHS Lost and Found is overflowing! If your student is missing something, please have them come by the front office before Friday, January 5th. All items left after school on January 5th will be donated!

Happy holidays! With winter break upon us, we encourage you to relax, unwind, and settle into a safe and restful break.
The holiday season is a time for togetherness and joy, but it can sometimes bring unwelcome guests, like stress and grief. Some of us may be experiencing the holidays without a loved one. Some of us may be balancing endless to-do lists from shopping to entertaining. While we each celebrate this season’s joys, it’s important to stay mindful, acknowledge our feelings, and reach out for help if needed.
To help keep your holidays bright, below are helpful resources. We encourage you to save these resources so you can easily reference them should you or a family member need help.
