LHS Ag Teacher/ FFA Advisor, Katie Titus was awarded the Honorary State FFA Degree. The Honorary State FFA Degree is the highest honorary award presented by the organization. The purpose of this degree is to recognize those individuals who greatly contribute to the advancement of agricultural education and provide outstanding service to the FFA program. This is in part due to the fact that she has been working hard to develop a strong program with the CASE education program, and the continued partnership with the USFS and the fire school.
Congratulations Katie! You are a great asset to LHS.

Parents and Families,
In recent weeks, we have been made aware of certain social media professing to be a platform for anonymous confessions from our school. While we can’t control social media or individuals’ use of it, we recognize how important it is to be aware of it and actively work to help our youth make healthy, productive use of technology. Some of the content there can be disturbing and hurtful.
While LHS staff is working diligently to provide a safe educational environment for our students, we ask that families please take an active role in monitoring your children’s social media posts and content. Many of you already do a great job of this. One thing you can do in the case of malicious or unkind content is to unfollow the person or page and report it to the social media platform for content that is considered to be harassing or misinformation.
This recent development has had a significant impact on some students’ ability to focus on learning. We are committed to working together to help mitigate what has become a very real distraction from what is most important.
