BOYS SOCCER NEWS FOR THIS WEEK:
The High School Boys Soccer team will start practices every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm at the La Grande Middle School soccer field starting Tuesday, October 12th. Student-athletes should have all paperwork completed. Physicals, Emergency Cards, and Parent Permission forms must be completed before attending practices. Every student-athlete will be temperature checked and will be sent home if their temperature is above 100.4 degrees fahrenheit. We ask student-athletes to stay home if they are feeling ill for whatever reason, even if it's the common flu. We ask the following for student-athletes when practices begin:
BEFORE PRACTICE:
1. Show up 15 minutes BEFORE practice to check in for your temperature check
2. Be dressed BEFORE practice
3. Bring your OWN WATER BOTTLE/JUG (no sharing)
CHECK IN BEFORE PRACTICE:
1. Walk towards the shed (maintain 6ft and wear your mask please)
2. TEMPERATURE CHECK (will be done each practice)
3. Set your gear/bag 10 ft apart along the fence
4. STAY in your spot until coaches give you directions of what to do
DURING PRACTICE:
1. NO handshakes
2. NO usage of hands
3. NO headers
4. NO sharing water bottles
5. NO group celebrations

BASEBALL NEWS FOR 10/5-10/9:
Monday: No Practice - Parks will be closed for 24 hours due to chemical spraying.
Tuesday: Practice times will be as normal. Check-In 4:30pm and Practice from 4:45-6:30pm.
Wednesday: Baker Games have been cancelled. We will have two intrasquad scrimmages happening. One on Lions and one on Optimist. Optimist scrimmage will include live pitching and officials. It will either be two 5 inning games, or one 9 inning game. Lions scrimmage will be a "machine pitched" scrimmage. Start times are yet to be determined, but will likely be around 2:30 pm. I will let players know their report time at the beginning of the week.

Representatives from Eastern Oregon University will give a presentation on financial aid. Counselors will be talking about the FAFSA/ORSAA, scholarships, and ASPIRE. Please make sure to mark your calendars for this informational presentation.
LHS Baseball will have an inter squad scrimmage on Wednesday, October 7th at Optimist Field. Scrimmage will start at 3:00 pm. Social distancing is required.
LHS Varsity Softball will travel to Union High School on Monday, 10/5. Game time will be 4:00 pm.
On Wednesday, 10/7, LHS Varsity Softball will host Union HS in La Grande. Game time will be at 4:00 pm
Social distancing rules will apply. All participants and spectators must wear a mask at all times while at the field.

Softball games that were scheduled for today have been cancelled.
LHS Softball will host Baker City HS tomorrow, September 29th for a double header game. First game starts at 1 pm, second game should begin at 3 pm. Social distancing rules will apply at the field. We would like to give preference to family members of the team to sit in the grandstands. There is room out beyond the outfield fence for lawn chairs.

Tomorrow at 9:30 am all students need to log into their Google Classroom for the Wednesday R.O.A R. lesson. This will appear on your class schedule as your 8th period class.
All kids 18 and under eat free under a Seamless Summer Option! La Grande School District will be providing meals for children under the age of 18. Lunch can be picked up at any of our elementary schools from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
