Dear La Grande School District Families, Staff, and Community,

Please be advised that all schools will be closed on Thursday, November 7, 2025.

This decision was made to support our role as host of the OSAA 1A/2A Volleyball State Championships. Due to the large number of visiting teams, fans, and officials, we anticipate significant parking and traffic congestion around the high school, Central elementary and La Grande middle school campuses. Closing for the day will ensure safe and efficient access for all guests, volunteers, and event operations.

We shall reschedule this school day to take place on June 5, 2026.

We appreciate your understanding and support as La Grande proudly welcomes schools from across Oregon to this exciting state championship event!

Senior parents, just a reminder that Jostons will be here tomorrow during lunch to collect orders. Your student should have brought home a Jostons packet last week. If you paid online, your student does not need to bring anything. Any questions, please call 541-663-3301.

Senior Service Day is TOMORROW! Please make sure your senior has a lunch if they have NOT previously informed the school they need one. Your student needs to be at the school by 9a, where they will get breakfast burritos and load up to leave at 945a. Any questions, please call 541-663-3301.

Hey La Grande, are you hungry? It's time to fire up your appetite and join us for the La Grande FFA Barbeque, October 23rd from 5-8 at La Grande High School! Today we are featuring 2 of our amazing cross country runners!

Tomorrow is our Homecoming game, featuring our Mini Tiger Cheerleaders at half time!!! Don't miss out!

We want all of our students to be able to attend the homecoming dance on October 4th, but in order to attend the dance your student must be attending school. Students must have an 85% attendance rate and all detentions and ISS must be served. If you are not sure what you student's attendance rate is please have them check attendance on StudentVue or they can check in with Mrs. Malone. Dance attendance rate will be cut off Thursday October 2nd.
