We have started our LHS Holiday Gift Drive! This year, we’ll be donating items to a foundation called CASA of Eastern Oregon. They need items for teens in Union County! They need: Beanies Hoodies Gloves Clothing Gift cards Bedding (sheets, pillows, comforters) Hygiene supplies like shampoo, conditions, soap The last day of our drive will be December 18th! Please bring your items to the high school office. Let’s show our local teens our love and support!

Special Education Day is celebrated on December 2nd, to commemorate the signing and implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Thanks to this decision, students with varying levels of needs can be supported in their education. The La Grande High School FFA Chapter would like to feed you dinner this Thursday, November 21st! Members of our FFA are selling tickets for $15 each for a delicious BBQ! The meal includes Tri-tip, a baked potato, coleslaw, a roll and a cookie! It is a drive-thru pick up from 5p to 8p. If you would like any tickets, please come in to the main office! All proceeds go to supporting the LHS FFA Chapter.

Girls Soccer will have a Police Escort out of town tomorrow morning at 10 am! Come down and help send this amazing group of athletes to the State Championship game. They will be traveling down 4th street and then down Adams out of town.

The Fall Band Concert is Thursday, November 21st at 7 PM! The Middle School Band will perform at 7 PM and the High School Band will perform at 8 PM. Both concerts will be in the LHS Auditorium.

LHS Girls Soccer Team is in the State finals! Let’s fill the stands and support our girls! We want to show the state our best on and off the field! Adults are $12 per ticket, Students are $6 per ticket. It is recommended to buy tickets online ahead of time. La Grande will be the visiting team and all LG supporters must sit on the east side of the bleachers. Reminders: All cheers, comments and actions shall be in direct support of one’s team only. No cheers, comments or actions shall be directed at one’s opponent, contest officials or opposing fans. Spectators shall not be permitted to use vulgar/offensive or racially/culturally insensitive language. Spectators shall not be permitted to engage in any racially/culturally insensitive action. DO NOT YELL at the refs! They are neutral and have a tough job. *Spectators are not permitted to have signs or banners (larger than 8 1⁄2 by 11 inches), confetti, balloons or glass containers. *Spectators are not permitted to have artificial noisemakers. For example, Thunder Stix, Cowbells, Clappers or Air Horns. *Spectators are required to wear shirts. *Anyone Showing unsportsmanlike behavior and not following these expectations may be expelled from the venue by OSAA/Admin.
