Boys Basketball: PHS will be hosting a GOL District boys basketball semi-final game tomorrow night at 6pm here at Warburg court. Doors will open at 5:15. Admission is $8/Adults and $5/Students. The booster club will pay the cost of all PHS students with a valid ASB card. No passes will be allowed except the OSAA gold card.

District Play offs: Tiger Fans, Boys Varsity Basketball will be TRAVELING to Pendleton, Thursday, February 16th, for a 6 pm tip off. Girls Varsity Basketball will be HOSTING Pendleton, Thursday, February 16th, with a 5:30 tip off. Lots of good basketball this week Tiger Fans, attend a game and cheer them on!

Playoffs: La Grande Boys Basketball will be hosting Ontario on Tuesday, February 14th, at 5:30 pm. This is a district play-in game. The winner will be traveling to Pendleton on Thursday, February 16th. Come support your Tiger Boys Basketball tomorrow at 5:30 pm!

District Swim: La Grande Swim teams competed in Districts this weekend at Veterans Memorial Pool. Tiger Boys took 1st place, and Tiger girls took 3rd! La Grande Swim will be sending all of its participants to the State meet in Tualatin this weekend! LHS students and parents, We're excited to offer a zero period and an eighth period study and credit recovery lab for students. These are available to any high school student needing more time and help to complete required course work, credit recovery courses or even homework. We have certified teachers for each lab and this opportunity will remain in place for the remainder of the school year. This starts tomorrow on Tuesday, February 14th. The A.M. lab time is 7:20 - 8:10. The P.M. lab time is 3:20 - 4:10. Please feel free to call LHS at 541-663-3301 with any questions.

Game Cancellation: JV2 games, boys and girls, have been CANCELLED. JV girls will begin at 3 pm, followed by JV Boys at 4:30pm, Varsity girls at 6 pm and Varsity boys at 7:30 pm. Tonight is Senior night for both Boys and Girls and we are playing Pendleton. Come support these Student Athletes and watch some great games!

Boys Basketball: We have a date and time change for games today in The Dalles. JV2 boys will now be playing at 5 pm at the Wahtonka Campus (220 E 10th St, The Dalles, OR 97058). JV and Varsity will be playing at the main High School campus like planned at 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm.

Girls Wrestling: Our very own LHS Girls Wrestling team attended the Regional Wrestling meet this past weekend. The team competed hard, and took first place! We had 7 Wrestlers place in the top 4 who will be attending the State Tournament at the end of the month, and 4 more that only missed state by 1 place! Please help us congratulate these young ladies on a fantastic tournament and 1st place finish! Boys Wrestling: Boys Wrestling attended the Reser Tournament of Champions this weekend in Hillsboro. Varsity took 3rd overall in the tournament, and JV took 2nd overall. School Exclusion Day: Parents/guardians, if you received a letter from CHD stating your student is due for a vaccine, or we are missing vaccine records, please get that in as soon as possible. Oregon law requires that all students be up-to-date unless they have an authorized exemption. Exclusion Day is February 15th, after that, any student who is still out of compliance will not be able to attend school

February is CTE (Career Technical Education) Month February is National CTE Month. Career and Technical Education provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. La Grande students have the opportunity to take CTE classes in the following areas: agriculture, natural resources, manufacturing, visual arts, performing arts, business, hospitality & tourism and medical. CTE Month, celebrate today, own tomorrow!
What is career and technical education? CTE is delivered at comprehensive and CTE dedicated high schools , magnet schools area technical centers, community and technical colleges and some four year universities. CTE students can earn industry certifications and licenses post secondary certificates associate degrees bachelor's degrees and higher. CTE is god for students good for business and good for communities!
Basketball Game Changes: Basketball fans, we have a couple of game changes for the week. JV2 boys and girls basketball games against Pendleton are now being played on Tuesday, January 31st. Girls will start at 4 pm. Boys basketball vs Nyssa has been moved to Wednesday, February 1st. Games will begin with JV2 at 3:30 pm.
