Hello LGSD families and teachers, our Annual FFA BBQ is back and it will be held Thursday, October 27th from 5:30 - 8:00 PM. It will be a drive through service like before. Tickets are still available for purchase online. You can check out the LHS Facebook page to purchase, or you can also buy from an FFA member. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our FFA programs and students. Pulled pork sandwiches will be served along with sides. I know from past experience, the food is excellent. We hope you'll join us.
Teen Zen at Cook Memorial Library, Tuesday, November 15th from 4-5 PM. Ages 12 to 18 welcome to join in the library's Community Room.
Parents of LHS Seniors -
A quick final reminder of our Tigers Give Back (formerly known as Seniors Day of Service) happening tomorrow. Seniors should arrive at 9:00am in the LHS gymnasium. This powerful event is one of the most important things we do during these students' senior year, and the seniors always ask for more. Please remind them to dress appropriately for the project they signed up for. We hope to catch several moments with students serving and will share those soon. New Winter Coaches: We would like to welcome a few new coaches for winter sports! We have hired Shaun Cederholm for JV2 Boys Basketball, Kylin Jacobs for JV2 Girls Basketball and Krystal Fabricante as our Girls Wrestling Coach. We are excited for them to join our Tiger teams!
Girls Wrestling: There will be a wrestler meeting Wednesday, October 19th, at 5:30 p.m. in the gym. Please help spread the word for any girls interested in wrestling. This is a meet the coach and informational meeting for the wrestlers.
Girls Soccer: Varsity soccer at Ontario on Thursday has been moved to 5:00 p.m. MST.
Girls Soccer: BOTH JV games with Ontario this week have been CANCELLED.

The homecoming dance is Saturday, October 15th, from 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. at the Barn at Union County Fairgrounds.

Volleyball: Game times for volleyball tomorrow versus Baker have changed. JV2 will now start at 4:30 p.m. , JV will start at approximately 5:30 p.m. with Varsity to start at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Volleyball: Monday, October10th, Volleyball will be playing Burns. This will be JV and Varsity. JV will be playing at La Grande Middle School, Pendleton vs Burns at 3:30 p.m., La Grande vs Burns at approximately 4:30 p.m. Varsity will be playing at the High School, Pendleton vs Burns at 4:00 p.m. with La Grande vs Burns following at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Picture day: Pictures for those that were not here during registration and retakes for those that would like them, are tomorrow October 6th. Pictures times will be from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the commons. Please have your student bring their proof if they are having retakes taken. There are no paper packets for this picture day.

Parents only meeting in the LHS Commons on Thursday evening at 6pm. Students are not invited to this meeting (they're all busy anyway). We will provide an overview of the events and expectations for the Class of 2023 and facilitate opportunities to get involved as volunteers throughout the year. See you there!
